When you have to catch your Koi, it is best done very quickly and easily without damaging your Koi. Japanese nets are very hydro-dynamic and are easy to maneuver under water. They are lightweight, but have very sturdy construction with braces added at the point where the pole meets the net to reinforce it so it won't break or bend under stress, like many other nets of similar size.
