If your pond smells, like rotting eggs, that means that there are areas in your pond that the water is stagnant, like areas full of fish waste and debris. Anaerobic bacteria are in those areas and they produce the gas (Hydrogen Sulfide) that creates the bad smell. Bottom drains create a constant suction force to remove fish waste and other debris from the bottom of your pond, to prevent them from building up.
The external bottom drain includes a 2" black PVC 90 fitting.
