Levolor Model K-2100
Theory of OperationThe new and unique Levolor II Model K-2100 electronic water level controller is a Fill Device which also detects low water conditions. This Levolor can be used in any situation where a consistent water level is desired and a low level situation can be detected and acted upon (i.e., ponds, spas, pools, aquariums, reservoirs, storage tanks, water cooling towers, ect.) Important Safety InstructionsREAD AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
Levolor Requires These Components
The Sensor is Slip-Style with 50 ft. of wire at the top and three stainless steel contacts at the bottom. The Sensor can be mounted in any location with a semi-permanent adhesive. This illistration uses a stand pipe or static pipe. The Sensor can be mounted in any location where the desired water level can be detected. The white wire from the Sensor is the desired operating level and should be connected to the yellow-blue stripe wire from the controller. When using the static pipe method, glue all one inch fittings only. Do not glue two inch fittings. SDI can supply a relay upon request which will operate a two horse power motor wired 220VAC. Low Water Cut-off Design using Levolor II Model K-2100
Jandy provides the controller and the Sensor with 50 ft. of wire. The solenoid valve and wire can be obtained from any irrigation supply house or pool distributor. We recommend the use of a one inch solenoid valve and 18 guage wire direct burial style. Your local electrician should supply the proper relay for your installation.
The Levolor II Model K-2100 comes either in 110VAC or 220VAC and in most cases should be wired directly to the power source for continuous operation. The controller has five (5) LED displays which illuminate to determine power ON, Fill sensor, Filling activated, Low Level sensor activated and Equipment deactivated (i.e., pumps, lights, ect.).
Electrical Schematic To Use Levolor II K-2100 Fill with Low Water Cut-offA 24VAC solenoid valve will provide water from a supply line to the pool or spa. Installing the supply line either before or after the filter at the equipment pad is acceptable. A one inch vave is the minimum recommended, and of course, an anti-siphon valve will provide inexpensive insurance against accidental draining of the pond. The SDI supplied valve is made by Buckner and is a VP-10. It has a pressure rating which cannot exceed 75 PSI.
