Identifying the Wattage of your UV Sterilizer

There are two ways to determine the wattage of your UV Sterilizer. Look for the wattage amount marked in black text at the non-connector end of your lamp.

Example: "40W"

You can also measure the length of your lamp and compare with the chart below.

12-watt Lamp	11 ž inches in length
18-watt Lamp	14 ˝ inches in length
25-watt Lamp	18 ˝ inches in length
40-watt Lamp	32 inches in length
65-watt Lamp	61 ž inches in length

Identifying the Model of your UV Sterilizer

To determine the model of your UV Sterilizer, measure the PVC body diameter and compare your results to the three guidelines below.

If your UV Sterilizer has a body diameter of 2 inches, than it's a SMART UV Lite

If your UV Sterilizer has a body diameter of 3 inches, than it's a SMART UV Sterilizer

If your UV Sterilizer has a body diameter of 5 inches, than it's a SMART HO UV Sterilizer

Identifying Old or New Style Emperor Aquatics UV Sterilizers

2001-Current SMART UV Sterilizer Models

	All Models: 12-watt through 130-watt non-electrical end. You can identify this style UV Sterilizer easily by its black PVC body. The 12 Watt and 18 Watt* models of this style are discontinued, but replacement parts are still available.
*The 18 Watt SMART UV Lite (2" diameter) is still available, but the 18 Watt SMART UV Sterilizer (3" diameter) is discontinued. Replacement parts are still available on all 18 Watt and 12 Watt units.

1998-2000 UV Sterilizer Models

From left to right: 12/18 Watt and 25/40/65/80/130 Watt non-electrical end. You can identify this style UV Sterilizer by the white PVC body with smoke colored viewing caps.

All models of this style are discontinued, but replacement parts are still available.

1997 and older UV Sterilizer models

	From left to right: 12/18 Watt, 25 Watt and 40/65/80/130 Watt non-electrical end. You can identify this style UV Sterilizer by the octagon shaped end cap All models of this style are discontinued, but replacement parts are still available.*
